A bounded workflow for lawful public-source research with written scope, evidence minimization, and clear stop conditions. This guidance is about public-source research methods. Check the App version you installed for its actual interface and purchase access.
Write down the authority and purpose
Define who requested the work, what public usernames are in scope and what decision the research should support. Confirm any organizational or legal rules that apply before searching. A broad interest in a person is not a substitute for a bounded purpose.
Use public sources only
Search the agreed handles and review ordinary public pages. Do not attempt to bypass a login, CAPTCHA, rate limit or technical access control. A blocked source is an unresolved observation, not permission to use a different access path.
Verify and minimize
Check useful leads at their original URLs and note the time and limits of each observation. Avoid joining profiles into an identity claim from a shared username alone. Keep only the evidence needed for the authorized decision.
Set a stopping and deletion rule
Stop when the defined question is answered or when additional searching would be disproportionate. Share findings with the authorized recipient, explain uncertainty and remove excess material on the agreed schedule.
