Audit Creator and Brand Handles
Version 3.1 is not available yet. This page accompanies a prelaunch preview. Check the App version you actually have for its controls and purchase access.
Build an official handle register, triage confusing accounts, and protect a public-facing name without assuming ownership. This guidance is about public-source research methods. Check the App version you installed for its actual interface and purchase access.
Build an official register
Start with the handles, websites and channels your team actually controls. Record who can verify each official account and its current public URL. Keep the register separate from search results so that a same-name page is not silently treated as yours.
Compare public presentation
Check whether a profile links back to a known domain, uses a published brand asset or states an official relationship. Similar names and images can be copied, so verify through independent channels before labeling a page as owned or impersonating.
Triage without overclaiming
Group leads as confirmed official, unrelated, unresolved or potentially harmful. If a page is inaccessible or a website blocks the check, record that limitation. Do not claim that every configured site was successfully checked or that a name is available to register.
Use platform processes
Correct your own outdated profiles first. For an unauthorized representation, preserve only the public evidence required by the platform’s reporting form and follow its rules. Review the register periodically when your brand or team changes, rather than collecting every same-name account indefinitely.
